Want to Join?
Scouting in the UK is enjoyed by almost half-a-million young people - and we're working hard to make more spaces here in Ashby for youngsters who want to join.
There are two "Groups" in the town - a collection of Beavers, Cubs and Scouts that work as a family. We're the new kids on the block, having been formed in 1976 but our friends at Ashby (Hastings) can trace their roots back much further.
Today, we have the following groups:
|Beavers (6-8)||Ashby (Hastings)||Mon||Full|
|4th Ashby - Woodland||Tues||Spaces|
|4th Ashby - Riverbank||Thurs||Full|
|4th Ashby - Mountain Ridge||Fri||Full|
|4th Ashby - Hidden Valley||Sun||Spaces|
|Cubs (8-10½)||Ashby (Hastings)||Mon||Full|
|4th Ashby - Waingunga||Tues||Spaces|
|4th Ashby - Seeonnee||Thurs||Spaces|
|Scouts (10½-14)||4th Ashby - Challenger||Tues||N/A|
|4th Ashby - Discovery||Thurs||Full|
Who can be a Scout?
Scouting is open to all young people aged 6 to 25 of every faith and background. There are also plenty of opportunities for adults to become involved as Leaders, Assistants or Administrators - we're all volunteers here at 4th Ashby.
Taking the next steps
We hope that you’ve read some of our site and want your child to join. It’s much easier for us if you can complete the form below rather than passing on messages and calling leaders. Due to demand some sections have waiting lists but we are trying to accommodate as many children as possible. There are other groups locally who we can put you in touch with if you don't want to wait, but Scouting is very popular in the Ashby area.
