23rd April is St George’s day. Whilst best known for being the patron saint of England, he is also the patron saint of Scouting.

Usually, we gather to renew our promise together on the Sunday nearest and this will be happening this year via Facebook Live on 26th at 10:50 – you don’t need to have an account – with Beavers, Cubs and Scouts from across Leicestershire: https://www.facebook.com/events/549305025970797/

Some people are going to wear their uniform whilst clapping for key workers at 8pm tonight.

Our Cubs have been making shields thinking about what is important right now.

George’s shield is above.

A decorated shield to embrace St George’s day by a Waingunga Cub. The dagger represents the NHS killing the virus (with a little mention of the all important Xbox gaming 🤣)
