What is Cub Scouting?

There are loads of fun things that you can do as a Cub Scout.

You will get a chance to try lots of different activities like swimming, music, exploring, computing and collecting. If you do them properly you will get a badge which you can wear on your uniform.

Cub Scouts also get to go on trips and days out, to places like the zoo, theme parks or a farm. Sometimes you will be able to go camping with the rest of your Pack. This will mean you sleeping in a tent and doing loads of outdoor activities.

At 4th Ashby

We have four Cub Packs at 4th Ashby:-

  • The Waingunga Pack meets in Ashby at the BP Shell Scout Centre on Wilfred Gardens on a Tuesday between 6:00 and 7:30.
  • The Seeonnee Pack meets in Ashby at the BP Shell Scout Centre on Wilfred Gardens on a Thursday between 6:00 and 7:30
  • The Bandarlog Pack meets in Ashby as the BP Shell Scout Centre on Wilfred Gardens on a Friday between 6:00 and 7:15
  • The Rikki-Tikki-Tavi Pack meets at Willesley Campsite (indoors if poor weather) on a Sunday between 5:00 and 6:30.

We have lots of fun activities and get outside as much as we can. Our groups are quite popular so don’t hesitate in filling in our joining form. We can’t accept new members who just turn up as sometimes we have a waiting list and often we are away from the Scout Hall!
